An instance is any time a text area is loaded with Perfect Tense enabled.

If you are on a paid plan, by default, additional usage will be added to your next bill (charged at your plan’s a la carte rate). You also have the option to set Perfect Tense to go silent when you reach a specific usage amount in a billing period. If you are on the free plan, Perfect Tense will go silent, and you will need to upgrade or wait until your usage resets the following period.
